“Last night I watched the film and enjoyed it so much—it's just beautiful. Women On The Land is intelligent, touching, inspiring and poignant, all at the same time. A very heartfelt film. I will
use it in my classes and give it as a gift to friends when I can.
Hope it's getting a great reception!”

“Women On The Land: Creating Conscious Community” highlights the work of women of this Northern California coastal community over the past forty years. The film opens with archival footage of women who founded "Country Women" in the 1970's, the extremely successful feminist publication and how-to magazine for women’s self-sufficiency. Featuring the work women in this community have done to care for the environment of our coastal land and sea over the years, the film then follows the lives of women farming now and explains why the sustainable, organic, local food movement is essential in our current world of dwindling natural resources and economic decline.

Endorsements
"An intimate look at women who've lived their passion, exactly what all of us want for our lives. Their story is about food and farming aligned with a flourishing earth. And it is about authenticity and courage—courage to be ourselves and therefore to open the way for others. Thank you!"

"The wise women who are the subjects of this beautiful film have a compelling story to tell—a story about the maturing of '70s back-to-the-land idealism, and about what it means to live simply and sustainably in a petroleum-powered, consumer-driven world. This isn't about nostalgia: these gutsy, down-to-earth women are prepared for life in the 21st century. Watch, listen, and learn."

"Women on the Land is a timely film that connects the powerful back-to-the-land women's self-sufficiency movement that began in the early 1970s with our pressing need today to create conscious communities, live sustainably, eat non-GMO food, and protect our bodies and Mother Earth from corporate greed. It's an awesome film that beckons us to roll up our sleeves and get our hands dirty. Whether we plant a garden or simply make better choices at the grocery store, this film will inspire you to take action for our planet!"
